Students must be at least eighteen years old.

Do you accept students from any country for Climb Global Learning?

Yes. We accept international students. You just need to verify English language proficiency. Either you have earned a degree from an English-speaking country, or you have taken a standardized test. Official test score reports must be sent directly from the Testing Service (ETS/IELTS) to our international admissions team at Greenville.

How do I apply for scholarships?

At Climb Global Learning, we’re committed to making this transformative semester abroad accessible to all students. That’s why we offer the Climb Character Scholarship, which provides up to $2,000 off the total program cost.

How safe will I be there?

Your safety is our top priority. The SCORE International compound in Juan Dolio, where students reside, is located in a very secure area and is safeguarded by 24/7 security personnel. With over 25 years of conducting successful trips, SCORE International has maintained an impeccable safety record for students.

We implement comprehensive safety protocols, including mandatory rules for both on and off-campus activities. Students will always be accompanied and escorted when venturing into the city. The local culture is welcoming to tourists, and we ensure students are thoroughly educated on cultural nuances and specific preparedness measures to maintain their safety. Detailed safety guidelines and regulations will be provided during orientation upon your arrival.

Do I need to know Spanish to attend Climb Global Learning?

No prior Spanish knowledge is required! Every accepted student takes a quick language assessment so we can tailor your experience to your level.

Are the credits earned through Climb Global Learning transferable to other institutions?

The 15 college credits you earn are directly transferable to Greenville University as general education courses. While these are foundational general education classes, the final decision on how they apply to your degree requirements rests with the accepting institution.

Do I have to be a Christian to attend Climb Global Learning?

While you are not required to be a Christian to embark on this journey, all participants will be asked to read and sign a faith statement. What does a typical day look like for a Climb Global Learning student?

Your day begins with a communal breakfast in the dining commons. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays are dedicated to impactful, immersive field experiences where you’ll engage directly with various local ministries and organizations—such as orphanages, schools, and nursing homes. On other days, your schedule will include a blend of engaging classes, cultural excursions, dedicated study time, or free time to explore. Lunch and dinner are shared either at the SCORE compound or at off-site activity locations. Evenings typically offer free time, unless there are scheduled excursions, ministry visits, or special service projects. During free time, students often enjoy optional activities like small group discussions, movie nights, game nights, pool time, or relaxing trips to the beach.
